The well known Canadian Talent Agency Vet Larry Goldhar, after 46 years with The Characters Talent Agency is leaving, to be will be replaced by Jennifer Goldhar as president as he takes a background role at the agency.
Ryan Goldhar joined Characters in 2011 and already represents Kate Vernon, Tara Spencer-Nairn and Torri Higginson, will take over Larry Goldhar’s client list. Additionally, Tyman Stewart has been named as president of Characters’ Vancouver office, replacing Leonard Bonnell.
Meanwhile Jennifer Goldhar had joined Characters 20 years, and currently with the resent achievement she will oversee the day-to-day running of the agency, which also has Zoie Palmer and Anthony Lemke on its talent roster. “Larry built this company with integrity, respect for others and an unparalleled passion for his clients,” said Jennifer Goldhar in a statement on Tuesday.
After the announcement, she added by saying: “I plan to continue this longstanding tradition and ensure The Characters remains a leader in the industry and an agency actors strive to be a part of”.
