2016 Britain’s Got Talent Registration & Audition – Britain’s Got Talent which is often shortened to BGT is a British television talent show reality TV competition which started in June 2007 and originated from the Got Talent franchise. Britain’s Got Talent is for those in Britain, it is a show that showcases the talents of every Britain. Throughout the show, contestants must perform in front of the judges, and each year initial auditions have been held in front of a live audience. Auditions precede live semi-finals, where the final 45 contestants perform nightly for a week in order to impress the British public.

Britain’s Got Talent is the UK’s biggest television talent competition Britain’s Got Talent is created by Simon Cowell. The show is broadcast on ITV. In this show there will be a lot of activities that will carried out like;  Singers, dance troupes, impressionists, performing dogs, magicians and other variety acts audition for the judges, hoping to beat the buzzer.

In Registering for the 2016 Britain’s Got Talent, it has three processes, which includes:

  • Audition in person
  • Audition via video
  • Audition by post

 Terms & conditions Before entering for the Britain’s Got Talent

1. These terms and conditions relate to your application to participate in a talent search competition being filmed for a series of television programmes provisionally entitled “Britain’s Got Talent” and “Britain’s Got More Talent” (the “Programme”) which FremantleMedia Limited trading as Thames and Simco Limited (together the “Producer”) propose but do not undertake to produce for ITV. The information given by you in your application may be used in the Programme should you be selected to audition.

2. You are not eligible to apply to enter this competition if you are an employee or a close relation of an employee of ITV plc, FremantleMedia Group, Simco Limited or any parent, subsidiary or associated company.

3. You acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules, regulations, terms and conditions for this competition as determined by the Producer (the “Rules”) and you acknowledge that the Rules may be changed (including without limitation verbally) at any time by the Producer in its sole discretion. The Producer’s decisions regarding all elements of the application process, the competition and the Programme shall be final and binding.

4. Applications can be made online at www.itv.com/talent. Online Applications close on 31st December 2016 at 23:59 GMT or at such other date and time as the Producer may elect and as stated on itv.com/talent or any other promotion.

5. The Producer reserves the right to introduce other application methods in its sole discretion and the closing dates for such methods will be as stated in the relevant promotion.

6. Additional recruitment or contribution terms of use available at itv.com/terms apply. If there is any conflict between these terms and the terms on itv.com, these terms will prevail.

7. The Producer, its agents and sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any online applications, telephone networks, line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any applications not being properly received.

9. Any applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

10. Applicants may be selected and invited to attend an audition at a time and location to be decided at the sole discretion of the Producer whose decision will be final and binding.

11. Applicants who are not available for a first round audition may still be considered for a second round audition on the basis of a submitted DVD or video clip at the sole discretion of the Producer whose decision will be final and binding.

12. Acts may be invited to audition for the series by researchers acting on behalf of the Producer. Such acts will be required to audition on the same basis as any other applicant and normal programme Rules will apply.

13. The completion of an application does not guarantee that an applicant will receive an audition or participate in the Programme.

14. If you are under 18 years of age please make sure that you get the permission of your parents or legal guardians before applying.

15. If you are under 18 years of age and you are invited to audition, you must be accompanied by your parents or legal guardians at the audition. Proof of age will be required at the auditions.

16. You must have the right to live and work in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland and be able to demonstrate that you have this right on request by the Producer at any time. You also agree to notify the Producer immediately of any change to your immigration status.

17. In the event that you are invited to attend an audition you hereby irrevocably grant all consents necessary for the Producer to film and record such audition and to use recordings featuring your image and/or voice in connection with the Programme and/or ancillary rights in the Programme and to exploit the same in all media throughout the world in perpetuity without the need for payment to you.

18. In the event that you are invited to attend an audition, you must ensure that you have obtained all necessary and proper immunisations for any animals involved in your act and you will provide to the Producer all documentation or do any other acts as may be reasonably necessary for the Producer to determine whether the animal is safe to participate in the Programme. You must notify the Producer, in advance, if you intend to:
a) perform physical and/or dangerous stunts, explaining the full nature of the stunt; or
b) use any form of equipment required as part of your act. You will be responsible for bringing such equipment (provided it is suitable for the audition location) and are responsible for ensuring that such equipment is safe and/or suitable for its purposes. Pyrotechnics are not permitted.

19. The Producer does not cover any costs that applicants incur in order to audition for the Programme save for exceptional cases where reasonable pre-agreed expenses may be covered at the Producer’s sole discretion.

20. Should the Producer cover pre-agreed expenses in connection with an applicant’s audition, only expenses for the key members of any act will be covered and not for any management, friends or family.

21. Situations where pre-agreed expenses may be covered are:
a) If, for production reasons, an applicant is allocated an audition before the Programme judges in a town/city at a substantial distance from the applicant’s original audition before producers.
b) Where, for production reasons, video applicants are offered an audition before the Programme judges in a town/city at a substantial distance from their home.
c) If any applicant requires specific equipment for their act which has associated transportation costs. In this case, the Producer may contribute to the reasonable cost of transportation or arrange the hire of similar equipment locally if cheaper.
d) If an act is required to audition at a time where same day travel home may be difficult, the cost of alternative transport or overnight accommodation may be considered.

22. Should you be selected to take part in the Programme you agree and undertake to enter into further contracts with the Producer and you agree to abide by the terms therein.

23. All personal details and/or information given in your application either in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.

24. The Producer reserves the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.

25. You will not without the Producer’s prior written consent disclose, publish or discuss with any third party any information relating to the Programme, your appearance in the Programme, the production team or any participants in the Programme nor any other information which may come to your attention including without limitation in relation to the broadcaster, the Producer or otherwise save where such information is already in the public domain.

26. You must disclose to the Producers details of any criminal convictions and/or unspent convictions other than driving offences which have not resulted in a ban or more serious sentence. You shall notify the Producers immediately if there are any criminal charges brought against you or if any information you provide in your application becomes inaccurate between now and the date of first transmission of the Programme.

27. Data Protection
a) Both the Producer and ITV take your privacy very seriously. The information you provide about yourself as part of the application procedure will be used by the Producer to assess whether or not to select you for the Programme. If you are successful, this information may be used in connection with the production and promotion of the Programme. By submitting this application form you consent to any information you provide, including without limitation any sensitive personal information, being used for these purposes.

b) The Producer may use the information you provide to verify your age and identity and to carry out background checks with law enforcement and government agencies. The Producer may share your information with ITV as part of the selection process and in connection with the production and promotion of the Programme. To the extent any personal data is shared with ITV, ITV’s privacy policy (http://www.itv.com/privacy) shall apply to any processing of such personal data by ITV or on ITV’s behalf. If you have ticked the relevant box on the application form then the Producer may also use the contact details provided to let you know about other television programmes being produced which may be of interest to you.
